This project was a photographic interview in which, during the photo shoot, the subject and I had a conversation about the struggle of finding one's direction and sense of self after moving out of their familial home. We discussed the emotional burden and pressure that many carry of familial expectations even after moving.  How do these pressures impact us and continue to follow us? What other factors in our environment influence how we form our individuality? Do we ever truly find our own direction, or are we forever imprinted by these expectations?
Color inkjet prints with handwritten quotes from the interview, then scanned on an Epson Pro Photo scanner.
